SUN Community Schools

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE SERVICES

SUN Community School and SUN Service System partners provide an array of technical assistance services to jurisdictions and organizations including assessing their community assets and resources, facilitating and/or consulting the community’s vision, developing action plans, assisting with implementation, and mediating issues between the partners.

What entities might want technical assistance? Governmental jurisdictions that have requested and received technical assistance from our experienced team on community schools include  cities, (parks and recreation), counties (social and health services), school districts, state departments of education and state departments of human services, and community non-profits.

What type of technical assistance has been requested from communities from this team?  Communities have been interested in knowing the lessons learned from Multnomah County’s  planning process, its program and system design, its evaluation results, as well as its inter-governmental agreements outlining the roles and responsibilities of each of the collaborative partners.

Communities that have received technical assistance from us:

National Community Education Association, Coalition for Community Schools, National League of Cities, National Community Building Network, Children’s Aid Society TA Summit, Harvard University’s Graduate School of Education’s Collaborative
