Located in neighborhood schools, SUN Community Schools coordinate and provide educational, recreational, social and health services. There are currently 54 SUN Community Schools in 6 school districts across Multnomah County.
SUN Community Schools serve all ages, preschool to seniors, with focus on the students in the immediate school community. They are open before and after school, evenings and weekends.
SUN Community Schools are part of the broader SUN Service System.
SUN Community Schools are a collaboration of Multnomah County Department of Human Services, the City of Portland Parks and Recreation, nonprofits and local school districts.
